Feminist Identity Crisis, and a Damn Good Book

I'm all preoccupied with the possibility of Parenthood, following the Event planned for August 18th of this year.

Somehow it's gotten tangled up in my head with the story of James Tiptree Jr. (aka Alice Bradley Sheldon), thanks in part to the surpassingly excellent biography published this year. Womanhood. Motherhood. Alienation. (pun(s) intended). They're all swimming 'round my brain.

Go read the book. Or at least find one of Tiptree's stories. They're at least an order of magnitude more interesting than what's going on here...
